Are retreaded tires legal in the EU?
Yes. Rider Tyres retreaded tyres are manufactured under the applicable ECE 108 (passenger cars) or ECE 109 (commercial vehicles) requirements, depending on the product category. Markings applicable to the delivered item are shown on its sidewall and should be checked before fitting.
How long do Rider retreaded tires last?
The lifespan of Rider retreaded tires is comparable to a new tire of the same class — from 50,000 to 80,000 km depending on the model, pressure and driving style.
How do All Terrain, Mud Terrain and Extreme models differ?
All Terrain combines asphalt comfort with moderate off-road capability. Mud Terrain has a more aggressive tread for mud. Extreme is the most reinforced construction for the hardest terrain.
Is retreading environmentally friendly?
Yes. Retreading extends a tire's life by a full additional cycle, reducing raw-material use and waste. A single retreaded tire uses about 70% less raw material and up to 50% less energy than producing a new one.
